Lima - Peru has a density of 1.98 m2/inhabitant of green areas, when the density in the cities according to the OMS should be between 10m2 and 15m2/inhabitant. The most alarming is to know that there are districts such as Villa Maria del Triunfo that has 0.46 m2/inhabitant of green areas.
Currently, there is one tree for every 31 inhabitants, when the ideal would be one tree for every 3 inhabitants, a deficit of 90%.
neighborhood of San Judas Tadeo
This is how this project to plant trees in the areas with less density of green areas in Lima was born and what I have been doing for 3 years is volunteering my time and resources to plant trees in different communities, starting with my own.
El chico de las plantas
Since about 1 year ago I have started to publish it in my social networks as "El chico de las plantas" in my TikTok account with more than 220K followers and Instagram with more than 110K followers, at first the idea was to plant 1 tree a week but with the support of many of my followers and allies in Web3 this number is going up more and more, reaching to plant 30 trees in 1 day, this is generating a great environmental impact as of knowledge.
This is allowing me to create a small community of volunteers, being this an opportunity to expose the great thing about the adoption of web3 for events of social and environmental impact.
community building
