STRENGTHENING AND EXPANSION OF THE REFICOLOMBIA COMMUNITY

Brief explanation of this project:

ReFiColombia is a vibrant community that unites all ReFi nodes in the country, including Medellin, Bogota, Saravena, and the future one in Cartagena. Our main objective is to promote the growth and development of Regenerative Finance (ReFi) technology in Colombia, as well as to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among local nodes. In this proposal, we present a plan to strengthen and expand ReFiColombia, providing comprehensive support to existing nodes and promoting the creation of new nodes throughout the country.

Team

ReFi Colombia is formed by representatives of each Local Node including ReFiMedellín, ReFiBogotá, ReFiCartagena, ReFi Amazonas, ReFiAtlántico.

Uses of funding:

1. Strengthening of existing nodes:

• Development of an effective communication and dissemination strategy to promote the activities of local nodes.
• Creation and management of social media profiles for each node to increase visibility and attract new members.
• Regular meetups and national events to foster collaboration and exchange of ideas among nodes.

2. Develop branding an Platform:

• Develop a web page for ReFiColombia.
• Establish a regular schedule of Twitter Spaces, where ReFiColombia members, Local Nodes and ReFi Projects can share knowledge, discuss relevant topics and establish connections within the community.

3. Creation of new nodes:

• Identification of key cities in Colombia with significant potential for the development of ReFi nodes.
• Establishment of strategic alliances with local organisations, universities and stakeholders to promote the creation of new nodes.
• Training and continuous support to the coordinators of the new nodes, providing guidance on best practices and facilitating the connection with the ReFiColombia community.

4. Organization of a hackathon for environmental sustainability:

• Creation and organisation of a hackathon focused on the development of ReFi solutions that promote environmental sustainability in Colombia.
• Open call to developers, entrepreneurs and financial technology and sustainability enthusiasts to participate in the hackathon.
• Assignment of prizes and awards to the most innovative projects with the greatest positive environmental impact.
