Security Alliance (SEAL)

Most of the biggest losses in crypto don't come from smart contract bugs - they come from operational failures. Compromised signers, phishing attacks on core contributors, teams that never tested their emergency procedures. Code audits are standard now, but nobody was addressing the operational gaps. We're here to fix that. SEAL Certifications is a SEAL (Security Alliance) Initiative - SEAL is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by samczsun that serves as neutral security infrastructure for crypto. We've built an open-source, crypto-native certification program covering the gaps that code audits miss - incident response, multisig ops, treasury security, workspace security, DNS management, and DevOps infrastructure. Protocols can self-assess for free or pursue formal certification through accredited auditors. This isn't theoretical. We're working with The DAO Security Fund as our first deep pilot, and we've run free gap analyses with dozens protocols and collected feedback from over a dozen security researchers and firms. Organizations like Chaos Labs, Compound, Lido, a16z Crypto, Uniswap Foundation, Dragonfly, Ethena, Pendle, ZKsync, and Filecoin Foundation all helped shape the criteria against real operational complexity. Our mission is to make SEAL Certifications the industry standard for operational security - so that every protocol, treasury, and foundation has a structured path to verifiable security maturity. It's the missing layer between code audits and real-world resilience. Your donation goes directly toward SEAL Certifications - supporting the contributors who run this initiative day to day and the tooling that keeps our work going: assessment module development, gap analyses, auditor feedback programs, and certification program administration. The biggest line item is operating costs for the assessors, program managers, and researchers doing the work.
