Stellar for Burkina Faso is a community-focused event designed to introduce 80 entrepreneurs, developers, students, creatives, and blockchain enthusiasts to the Stellar ecosystem and demonstrate how Stellar technology can create practical opportunities in Burkina Faso. The event will provide an accessible and engaging introduction to Stellar, with a focus on real-world use cases such as financial inclusion, cross-border payments, digital payments, entrepreneurship, and blockchain-based solutions. The program will combine presentations, practical demonstrations, interactive discussions, networking, and community engagement. We want participants to understand not only what Stellar is, but also how they can participate in and contribute to the ecosystem. This project builds on my previous experience organizing and hosting blockchain community meetups, including Stellar and Bitcoin meetups. These experiences have shown me the importance of creating local spaces where people can learn about emerging technologies, ask questions, exchange ideas, and connect with other members of the community. The main goal of Stellar for Burkina Faso is to strengthen awareness and participation in the Stellar ecosystem locally. Many people are interested in blockchain technology but do not always have access to practical information, experienced community members, or opportunities to connect with builders. This event will help close that gap by creating a welcoming environment for both newcomers and people who already have experience in blockchain. Beyond the event itself, we hope to build lasting relationships among participants and encourage continued collaboration, education, and participation in the Stellar ecosystem. We will use the event to identify people interested in becoming more active in the community and encourage them to continue learning, building, and sharing Stellar opportunities with others.
